He also held important positions in BUMI subsidiaries, such as PT Arutmin Indonesia and PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC). In addition, Rosan was once the President Director of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk (BRAU).

In 2020, Recapital Group was again in the spotlight after its subsidiary, Asuransi Recapital, was closed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) due to solvency issues.
